The holy city of Haridwar will be the starting point of your journey on the first day. Joshimath, the target for today, is about 256 kilometers from Haridwar. You will first pass through the holiest cities in the world, Haridwar and Rishikesh, which are located in Uttarakhand. Travelers from all over the world come here to connect with the local spirituality and religious beliefs. Here, you will be able to witness a variety of religious locations. You will also be exposed to a wide range of cultural pursuits. The centre of both religious and extreme sports, including rafting (which is the most well-known), paragliding, and bungee jumping, is Rishikesh. These places have so much to discover.
Even though your first day of travel will involve a lot of driving, the breathtaking vistas along the way will keep you from ever feeling tired. Your heart and camera will both hold many memories from the entire adventure. You will always have the river by your side as you go through the several locations to get to Joshimath. We are unable to refer to this river by a single name because many rivers converge at each Prayag of Panchprayag.
As a result, if you follow breathtaking views, you won’t even know that you’ve arrived at Joshimath. Lunch will only be offered on the way. Spend the night here.
The following day, you will go by taxi to Gulling Top for a distance of 12 km, after which you will hike for roughly 6 kilometers. Joshimath travels to chilly climates, so remember to pack warm clothing as well. You will feel so satisfied and at ease in the morning in Joshimath. All around you, snow-covered mountains will give you the impression that you are in heaven. Dhak village is where your trek will begin. You will witness Sleeping Lady Mountain, a natural wonder that appears to have been purposefully created. Despite being an easier trip, there are a few small ups and downs along the way.
There will be a variety of mild inclines. This is not green country; the topography here is often rugged. The Dhauli Ganga will be flowing close by. You will soon arrive at Kharchi village. Water bottles can be filled during the walk. You will eventually arrive at the Upper Tugasi region, which is home to flower gardens, wheat farms, and other sights. The refreshing effect of the water streams that run between the treks is guaranteed.
You will soon have to climb a high hill from which you will be able to see Dronagiri Peak in full. You will pitch your tents in the meadows that are all around you and spend the night there.
The third day of your trip will involve a 4 km hike to Tali Forest Camp. The hike can take five hours or so. You will begin your trip after rising early and enjoying a filling breakfast in the middle of a stunning meadow. You will visit the Tali woodlands on this walk. The hike today will be easier and more leisurely than the last one. You will undoubtedly have a great time on this excursion.
After a while of trekking, you will see that there are several snow-covered peaks in the area. Along with many other varieties, walnut trees will be visible. In addition to trees, you’ll notice lovely flowers blooming everywhere you look.
As your adventure comes to a close, you will be at an incredible height. You will spend the night in your tents amongst forests and mountains that are currently covered in thicks. Staying here will be an exciting experience.
You will hike to Kuari Pass on the fourth day, returning that same day via Khullara Top. The hike this day will be about 11 hours long and cover 15 km. You’ll need to get going early today in order to arrive on time. Do bring extra water with you, as there might not be any available sources during today’s hike.
You are free to take brief breaks during the lengthy walk. Midway on, lunch will be served. It is advised that you wear high-quality shoes to ensure that you have no trouble hiking in any kind of terrain. Many peaks, including Kedarnath Peak, Chaukhamba, Nanda Ghunti, Kalinka, Dronagiri, Hathi Parvat, Kamet, Mukut Parvat, and many more, may be seen once you reach the peak of Kuari Pass.
There is absolutely no comparison between this perspective and any other view. This will undoubtedly demonstrate why joining this expedition is worthwhile.
You will return to Joshimath via Gurson Bugyal on your fifth day, after which you will proceed in the direction of Auli. Auli is a well-known skiing destination. You may call it a snow valley. You will first return to Joshimath via crossing Gurson Bugyal, which makes the trek simple. You’ll appreciate it the most and get over it without any trouble.
You will next arrive in Auli, where there is plenty of snow. If skiing is permitted at that time, you may have a great experience. The location is too wonderful to not fully investigate. You will return to Joshimath after that and remain there.
Finally, the day to end the beautiful trek. You will go back to Haridwar from Joshimath, covering the same 256 km.
It is always considered the best means. You can avail flights from Delhi to Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun. From the airport, you can come to Haridwar Railway Station, which is your pick-up point. You can reach Haridwar by bus or by just simply booking a cab from the airport.
