Your goal for the first day will be to get from Dehradun to Sankri. Dehradun is almost 220 kilometers away from Sankri. The trip to Sankri will take about nine or ten hours. You will encounter a variety of breathtaking natural sceneries as you proceed. You will fall in love with the area when you see the breathtaking views of the hills and forests. Even though it’s so far away in the middle of nowhere, you won’t even notice that you’ve arrived.
Along the way, you’ll pass through a number of villages, including Mori, which is well-known for its verdant meadows and vibrantly blossoming flowers. Although the roads leading to Sankri are nearly in excellent shape, there may be some rough patches. Lunch will be served to you en route. It’s possible that your cell phones won’t be able to connect to a network when you get to Sankri. You can therefore speak with your family before traveling to Sankri. Spend the night in a Sankri hotel.
On your second day, you’ll go to Dhaula and then Sewa. Dhaula will be transported by car from Sankri. After that, you will hike for almost five hours from Dhaula to Sewa. This is the Rupin Pass Trek’s first hike for you. Since the trek is only a short walk, you won’t get very fatigued. The journey will offer many breathtaking views. After moving from Dhaula, there is a 200-meter ascent followed by a short stroll. You will be able to witness a variety of Rupin Pass sights as you make your way towards Sewa. You will come across a variety of apple and apricot trees during your hike. It’s an absolutely captivating view that you will undoubtedly adore.
When you finally get in Sewa, the renowned Kinnaur Temple will be visible. You are free to look around the temple. There is a sense of tradition in everything that is here. There, between the mountains, you will camp and have the best time.
You will travel from Sewa to Bawta on your third day. Six kilometers will get you there in roughly four hours. Given that this is your second excursion on the expedition, the grade is fairly mild. The staff will provide you with guidance on how to tackle the moderate to difficult trip at all times during your journey. However, you must always exercise caution and keep your teammates together. You will witness numerous breathtaking natural sites on this hike, one after the other. Along with many other things, you will witness meadows, little villages, crop fields, deep forests, and streams of water.
You’ll soon be traveling through a thick forest that leads to a wooden bridge that divides, or perhaps more accurately, unites, the two states. The bridge is called ‘No man’s Place’. The reason the bridge got this name is that it can be found in any state.
The objective for your fourth day is to go 5 km to Jakha from Bawta. You have four hours to hike. You may feel really exhausted after finishing this walk because you have to pass both the highest point and the last village. You must unquestionably be well-prepared for this hike.
You will most likely like the zigzag nature of the walk, which alternates between descent and elevation at points. You will find multiple water streams there, so remember to fill up your bottles.
Your fifth day will be a trek to Dandreyash Thatch. It is 11 km away. This day’s trek is slightly longer so you need to wake up early. Also, you will get to see an amazing sunrise. You will go through various passes and forests. As you will move forward you will pass forests and snow-covered landscapes. You will a snow bridge and after crossing this bridge you will see a narrow trail following which you will reach another wooden bridge.
You will soon come into another woodland, full with rhododendron trees, after trekking for a while. You will soon arrive at Saruwas Thatch, a place for exploration and relaxation. Views of a valley lined with trees and the Rupin Waterfall can be seen from this location. The valley is an exquisite creation of the natural world. You will see snow-covered mountains as you continue forward, adding to the beautiful scenery.
Dhanderas Thatch Valley will be reached after the downhill trail. Once you’re there, you can play games and explore the area. Now is the ideal moment to fully enjoy yourself. Make sure to socialize and have fun with new acquaintances.
You’ll hike to Upper Waterfall on your sixth day of travel. The walk will be 3.5 km. This walk will need you to ascend a little bit higher, so you must always exercise caution to prevent difficulties brought on by altitude. Your teammates will always be there to support you. During this portion of the hike, you can slip and fall on the snow. As a result, you will find it to be a fantastic adventure.
You will need to trek over snow-covered trails and up hills before you get at the campsite. Additionally, there are other marigold blooms that add to the sight’s captivating appearance.
On your seventh day, you will go in the direction of Ronti Gad. The journey is nine kilometers long and is challenging in difficulty. You will uncover entirely new perspectives of the location in this way. You must proceed with caution as there is a thick layer of snow covering the walkway. Because the walk is challenging but also magnificent, you can feel worn out by the end. Along the way, refreshments will be provided to you to help you stay energized.
Although your route to Rupin Pass is short, it is also dangerous. You must proceed carefully because the stones on the hills are loose and could fall. Your next journey, which will lead you to Ronti Gad, will begin shortly after you cross Rupin Pass. It’s a short stroll to Ronti Gad. For the day, it will serve as your campsite. Because this is the coldest campsite, make sure you dress warmly. Have a restful night’s sleep and enjoy your time at the most relaxing campsite.
You’ll move to Sangla on this day, and after that, you’ll drive to Shimla. Even if the trial for today will end, you should use caution.
A little ascent at the beginning of your journey will give way to a leisurely stroll. After a short while of walking, you will come across stunning vistas of Mt. Kinner Kailash.
You can see the Lake of Sangla Kanda from this location. It will also show you a number of little communities. In the village, you may relax and enjoy the area. routeAfter that, proceed toward Sangla along the blue pine-lined trail. You will arrive in Baspa Village after crossing the route, and shortly you will be at the trail’s end. You will take a car to Shimla from Sangla.
