Kedar Tal Trek: A Rare Gem of Uttarakhand 

Settled at an elevation of 15,580 feet, this trek begins from the temple town of Gangotri. The locals of Kedar Tal converse in Garhwali, and many of the natives also understand English. This trek is considered a moderate to difficult trek; It has a high altitude, rocky terrain, and steep ascents! This trek is surely not recommended for beginners, and that’s for sure! 

  • The trek has a very high altitude and reaches to about 15,500 ft

  • One should know that the trail is difficult with steep ascents and descents, which include crossing streams and boulders

  • One who is going on the trek should keep in mind that the high altitude can be extremely difficult, and the weather also very unpredictable to go on the trek. 

  • Also, to do this trek, trekkers should have a good level of fitness and also some prior trekking experience.
